Excellent quality and easy to install. Review by Trevor
Price Value Quality
Although this review is for a wall bracket, it applies to the entire Ceiling Max grid system. Positives: Reasonable price. Delivery was free with a full order over a specified minimum. Delivery was fast, through UPS. The product was light weight but strong. The grid system is easy to install, with helpful You Tube how-to guides available. Negatives: Only one. In the instructions there is a reference to using a 25" cross T if starting a row with a full ceiling panel as opposed to a cut panel. My installation required 2 pieces, which I ordered. My first row were all full 2X4 panels , but I could not see how the 25" cross T was required, so I used the standard 24" cross T's. I had a few cuts to make around corners, so was able to make use of the 25" T's. Maybe for clarification the use of the 25" cross T's could be not only described in a video, but shown, to make clear how they are to be used. No harm done as simply cutting them to size was my solution. Here is a tip for sliding panels into tight corners where a panel may need to be cut to an L shape. Use a stiff putty knife and/or a 3" scrapper to "shoe horn" the panels into the cross T's. Also when custom cutting a panel, be sure to leave clearance to insure you can fit the panel into tight spaces. Example. A standard panel is 23.75". There is enough flex in the system to fit this in to the 24" standard spacing. But in a boxed in corner, example around a cabinet, not have any cross T's, only wall channels. In this case, cut the tile 1.125" smaller than the wall to wall space. Slide the panel all the way into the one channel, then slide it up into the other channel and then slide it over to split the difference. You should than have a good 1/2 inch of tile supported in each channel. I will definitely consider the Ceiling Max grid system for other projects and highly recommend it. (Posted on 2/5/2018)
