The ceiling tiles were installed in a CeilingMax grid system. The 2×2 tiles do have a slight sag so I will not give them five stars. They are fairly easy to install, just follow the directions. I used them throughout the basement and like the overall appearance. Since the tiles are PVC along with the grid, I don’t have to worry about water damage. It is also much easier to install than sheetrock. If access above the ceiling is needed, the tiles can be removed and replaced.

I replaced my 30-year-old fiberglass ceiling tile because, even though the fiberglass part was still good, the glued-on covering had become brittle and cracked. When my Genesis Stucco Pro Ceiling Tiles arrived, I immediately started replacing the full panels with the PVC tiles. They fit perfectly! Over the next few days, I laid the old fiberglass smaller pieces on top of the PVC, marked, cut with a razor knife and a carpenter’s square and custom fitted the smaller pieces. Also, I measured each smaller piece to make sure the fit was good. And, with careful management, I had very little waste. When I got to the areas over the cupboards, where it was not noticeable, I even cut custom pieces and fitted them together end to end to fill in. With the straight, squared edges and the non-directional pattern of the PVC tiles, it is really hard to tell they are pieced together. Since the PVC tiles are said to be pre-stressed so they don’t sag, I made sure to hide the labeled side and show the non-labeled side. It must have been correct because I see no sag at all. Everything looks great! All in all, I was very impressed that the PVC tiles were super easy to cut with a simple razor knife and a square for a straight edge on a work table with cardboard under the PVC tile. Definitely recommended!
